What is NTP?

Notice to Proceed (NTP) is synonymous with a fully completed sale. It is LightReach's signal to the Certified Installer that the customer has completed all of their closing requirements. Note that LightReach does not audit the physical site at NTP -- it is the responsibility of the installer to ensure full site eligibility prior to installing.

Pre-Requisites: System Details & Quote

  • Basic system details & Quote required to send contract

Terms and Conditions Accepted

  • No credit check for customers in the Puerto Rico DOE program

  • Terms and Conditions must be provided to customer, and customer must acknowledge/complete.

  • Terms are largely legal in nature and detail their agreement that they own the home, are agreeing to e-sign various documents, etc.

Customer web portal account sign up

  • Homeowners will complete all requirements via their home.palmetto.com web portal account (accessible via web browser or via app download).

  • Sign Up invitation sent at same time as contract

  • Email Subject Line: "Welcome to Palmetto Solar! Let's activate your solar account."

Contract Signed

  • Can be signed via customer's home.palmetto.com web portal account -or--via standard docusign

Identity

Homeowner must complete secure identify verification. Customers can securely upload their ID via their home.palmetto.com account for automatic verification.

  • Driver's license or other state issued ID card

  • Passport or passport card

  • Resident permit ID or green card

Utility Bill

  • Recent, legible copy of homeowner's utility bill

Customer Payment Method

  • Input via customer's home.palmetto.com account. ACH recommended for all customers.

  • Instant verification on most accounts

  • Voided check verification, if necessary, on some accounts

Customer Agreement Confirmation

  • Simple, non-invasive order summary

  • Recaps key Energy Plan terms & details

  • Homeowner 'checks the boxes', 'signs' their name & submits

Site Assessment Doc Upload

  • Site Surveys and Preliminary Design Plansets to identify and communicate potential issues that would impact projects moving forward

Sign Up vs Sign In

SIGN UP: Customers are sent a unique sign up invitation at point of sale. Single click to complete sign up. Once the sign up is completed, customers can login anytime to their home.palmetto.com account (via web portal or app download)

LOGIN: Once the customer has completed their sign up, they can login anytime at home.palmetto.com using their email or phone number. OTP (One time passcodes) are used for sign ins. No traditional password setup necessary.

Payment Options

Input via customer's home.palmetto.com account. ACH recommended for all customers. Other options may be available after sign up, however, customers are required to contact our Customer Support team to review these.

Terms and Conditions

In lieu of a credit check, all PR customers will complete the Terms and Conditions as part of the NTP process.
