To support a smooth installation process LightReach will be reviewing Site Surveys and Preliminary Design Plansets to identify and communicate potential issues that would impact projects moving forward or create challenges through the installation or activation processes.

This motion is to provide our Partners with supportive information that can be used to confirm and, if needed to, expand upon the scope of work outlined in the Site Review Report and to communicate additional flags related to common issues and DQ criteria. After this process is completed for a given project, both the EPC and Palmetto should have high confidence that the compliant system can be built within program guidelines given the scope and budget for SRRs.

Flood Plain Checks Checks are strictly the responsibility of the installing partner. It is encouraged to complete this process prior to Site Survey as it will reduce the overall scope of the program.

EPCs will utilize their standard approach to collecting information during a site audit capturing all areas in which there may be an example of the site needing Solar Ready Repair Funds as well as the standard suite of Site Survey information

Identification of potential problem areas and comprehensive documentation of all site conditions, highlighting all areas of concern, equipment location, existing electrical services

Specific Information to Capture

  • Pullbacks and Closeups of Roof Condition.

    • Many Drone photos are not close enough to provide a clear understanding of roof condition.

  • Document ALL Medical Devices in the home

  • Capture Meter Height & Deadfront

  • Close ups of interior conditions below intended solar system location to document building integrity.

EPCs add a copy of their standard Site Assessment reports to the primary page of beneficiary’s LightReach Account in the section titled Documents using the Site Assessment document type.

Using this document type will trigger the Light Reach Technicians to see the project in their Queue for review to complete an assessment of scope of work and intended installation. Follow the directions outlined in our Document Upload Procedure guide.

Note this document is NOT submitted within the Install Package, but the LightReach team will confirm that the document was uploaded during review of the Install Package.

Documents to Upload:

  • Site Assessment (installer will print/export their standard document) with the appropriate naming convention and add it as a Site Assessment document type in the Documents section as early in the project as possible. Note M1 will be rejected if this document is not uploaded to the Documents section.

  • Attach the AS DESIGNED planset as well for a more comprehensive review of the project with the title: SIF000XXXX_Design (Unstamped) to the Documents section as a Supporting document type.

When completed, review results will be updated in the Accounts page with rejection notes, these results will be sent to the email address on file that currently receives updates on Notice to Proceed updates.

  • Notes will contain information pertaining to anticipated scope of work and callouts for WITHIN THE CIRCUIT items - see PR: Solar Ready Repairs - Scope and Requirement

  • ALL REVIEWS will show as REJECTED as a means of sharing notes back to our partners.
